Dave Klevan CBC, the founder and principal with Corporate Benefit Management Group, has over 40 years marketing and management experience in the insurance, employee benefits, and financial services industry.  In the 1970’s Dave worked in the corporate headquarters of AFLAC, the world leader in supplemental insurance.  Aside from field recruiting and management responsibilities, he helped develop training programs for the classroom as well as video training.  He also helped develop multiple product marketing materials, some of which are still in use today.

In the 1980’s, Dave was an early leader and advocate for using Section 125 (Cafeteria Plan) Marketing as a sales tool for increased group penetrations.  Then in the 1990’s, he partnered with a National Marketing Organization to develop and market one of the nations first Critical Illness Products in the U.S.

Today, Dave is one of the biggest supporters and advocates for Consumer Driven Health Insurance.  With the addition of HSA’s (Health Savings Accounts) in January 2004 and HRA's (Health Reinbursement Arrangement), this helped round out the total Alternative Benefit Options available to individuals and company’s.   Dave and CBMG were the first brokers in Tennessee to receive the designation of CBC (Chartered Benefit Consultant).  

As a community leader, Dave is and has been very active.  He is the Chairman of the Board for the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as Chairman of the City of Germantown Planning Commission, a member of the Board of Zoning and Appeals and liaison to the Industrial Developement Board.  He has also served as a member, liaison and or Chairman of The Financial Advisory Commission, Personnel Advisory Committee, the Economic Development Commission, and the Industrial Development Board.  He also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Pink Ribbon Open and is a member of the Shelby County Chamber Alliance.

In 1999, Dave was the recipient of the Sam Walton "Small Business Award", and in 2000 he received the Home Town Hero award from the City of Germantown. Dave and Corporate Benefits Management Group were selected in 2008 as the "Small Business of the Year" by the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce. Dave was just named by Memphis Business Quarterly as a 2011 Power Player in Memphis Business.
